A pair of Boston-based nonprofit affordable housing developers has closed a deal to gain ownership of Our Lady’s Guild House, a Fenway rooming house for women it looks to preserve as affordable housing.The Planning Office for Urban Affairs and Fenway Community Development Corporation announced Friday that they have acquired the 140-unit building after receiving financing from the Mayor’s Office of Housing and the Community Economic Development Assistance Corporation.This comes after the nonprofits teamed up in March to sign an option agreement for the facility at 20 Charlesgate West, just outside of Kenmore Square. As the acquisition has gone through, the pair will now rehab and modernize the building as 100% permanent affordable housing. (AP) — The food delivery business Yelloh — formerly known as Schwan’s Home Delivery — is cutting 750 jobs nationwide and closing 90 delivery centers.The closures for the Bloomington, Minnesota-based company will begin Dec. 8. JANESVILLE, Wis. (AP) — A live cluster bomblet and ammunition have been found in a donation dropped off at a thrift shop in southeastern Wisconsin.An employee at the Janesville Goodwill made the discovery while conducting inventory Friday morning, according to the Janesville Police Department.The store and surrounding area were evacuated as a bomb squad was called in to remove the small bomb and ammunition. “Employees quickly followed safety protocols by informing store and donation center management and safety teams who then evacuated the building out of precaution for shoppers, donors and employees,” Goodwill Industries of Southeastern Wisconsin said in a statement to WKOW-TV.The store and donation center resumed operations shortly after 1:30 p.m. Friday, the statement continued.Bomblets are part of cluster bombs which contain multiple explosive submunitions. LEWISTON, Maine (AP) — Police teams had already searched a recycling center in Maine twice before eventually finding the body of the man suspected of killing 18 people in Lewiston was found, authorities said Saturday.Department of Public Safety Commissioner Michael Sauschuck said the teams that scoured the Maine Recycling Corp. property that features as many as 60 trailers, including a tactical team, on Thursday night. He said another state police team returned the site Friday and found Robert Card’s body in a trailer rthat hadn’t been searched. Originally sentenced to death in 1994, on August 26, 2003, he was re-sentenced to life without parole.
